Booking Courts
- Courts may be booked in advance on the booking sheets outside the Club house. New sheets are normally placed on the notice board on Sunday evenings.
- Courts may only be booked by fully paid-up members.
- Members may not turn up and book, then ask other members to vacate a court because it has been booked.
- Courts that are no longer required MUST be cancelled. Please do this in person, or leave a message on the office answer phone. Frequent ‘no shows’ may be prevented from booking courts.
Booking Rules
- No play is allowed before 7.30am on weekdays, 8.00am on Saturdays and 8.30am on Sundays. No play is allowed after 10.00pm.
- Courts may only be booked by fully paid up members.
- Courts must be booked on the hour.
- Courts may only be booked for one hour per group (singles or doubles). Members playing in a four may not book a further hour in another player’s name.
- Members playing open competitions may book for 2 hours subject to the rules set out below.
- Courts may not be booked during Club afternoons and Club evenings.
- If a booked court is not occupied within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, it may be used by other members.
- During the Club Tournament, matches take priority over booked courts and coaching.
- If a court is not booked and other members are waiting to play, a short set (best of eleven games) should be played, then the court vacated.
- All guests must be signed into the Club in the visitors’ book by a member of the club. Guest fees of £3 per person must be paid in advance and should be deposited in the internal letterbox.
