Child Protection Policy
Telford Park Lawn Tennis Club takes child protection very seriously. All our coaches are CRB checked and our Child Protection Policy is displayed in the clubhouse. If you have any concerns regarding the welfare of children at the club, please contact our child protection officer, Juliet Griffiths.

Telford Park Tennis club is responsible for setting standards and values to apply throughout the club at every level. Tennis should be enjoyed by everyone who wants to play the game.
Our commitment is to eliminate discrimination by reason of gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, ability or disability and to encourage equal opportunities.

Clothing
Members must wear recognised tennis clothing (white or coloured) or T-shirts. Outer clothes may not include jeans, cut-offs, football shirts or other non-tennis garments. Footwear must no damage the court. Soles must be non-marking, not black and must not be ridged or studded. Cross trainers and running trainers are not allowed.
Court Booking Policies
Fine detail of booking rules vary with the time of year. However, some points remain in place throughout.
No play is allowed before 7.30am on weekdays, 8.00am on Saturdays and 8.30pm on Sundays. No play is allowed after 10.00am.
Courts may only be booked by fully paid up members
Courts may only be booked for one hour per group (singles or doubles). Members playing in a four may not book a further hour in another player's name.
Courts cannot be booked during Club Afternoon and Club evenings (except where shown as free on the booking sheet)
If a booked court is not occupied within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, it may be used by other members.
During the Club Tournament, matches take priority over booked courts and coaching.
If a court is not booked and other members are waiting to play, a short set should be played, then the court vacated
All guests must be signed into the Club in the visitor's book by a member of the club. Guest fees of £4 per person should be deposited in the internal letter box. Members are responsible for paying or collecting guest fees. Fees are waived during weekdays (12 - 4.00pm)
